Activities based on a song

Activity 1

The first things is to put the track, in this case is ABC by Jackson 5. I have adapted the contetns of the video to choose only what I want to show them.

 

It is recommended not to show them the video yet.

Now teacher mut be give their pupils the lyrics of the song but the letter is divided and cutted in sentences, every child has to have a sentence.

Activity 2 Circle the word

Every child has to get a piece of pears with different words, they have to circle the words that they heard

 

school          loft              maybe            teacher            skull

           simple      busy                writing              curl           

wrapping                     love                    little              crisis 

 

As an evaluation teacher can get the papers to control the listening skills

Activity 3 Bingo

Like in the game of the Bingo, you can make bingo paperboard ( you need have many different bingo cardboard) and give one cardboard with different words to the kids.

When they have it completed, they have to say BINGO and teacher stops the songs to chek it

CONTEXT

This three activity can be made it for every student adapting the difficulty. In this case, the song is a little bit fast and it has some strange words, also the activities requiere a minimun of English' knowledges. In this example my recommendation is work with these activities from 5th Primary year.
