ASTERIX AND THE ROMANS

As an introduction we are going to give every kid a little comic based on Asterix. It will give them a little information about romans and what they were doing in the past times. After ten minutes (more or less, taking into account the reading level of the class) we are going to project the Asterix` comic on the Digital board and read another time with the class.

After that, teacher should be make questions to all the class about the comic and the Roman Empire and teacher have to encourage discussion and opinion.

Questionnaire:

  • Do you have read a comic of Asterix & Obelix before?

  • Who do you think are the Romans?

  • What image of the Romans gives the comic?

  • How are represented the Spaniards?

  • What Romans are doing in Spain?

  • Describe the clothes of  the Romans

  • Do you know any building, monument or object of Roman times? Describe it

Teacher must to make participate all the students in the talk and before end the class he has to recommend to go to a library and read an Asterix comic.
